Following the success of the scholarship scheme at last year’s event, we are pleased to announce our Scholarship Programme for PHP Yorkshire 2018.
At PHP Yorkshire, we are committed to enabling as many people as possible to attend our conference, and to promoting an inclusive community; so we are introducing a ticket scholarship scheme to encourage students, under-represented groups and those who can’t otherwise afford tickets to experience the event.
Preference will given to members of under-represented groups in technology - women, minorities, LGBTQIA, people with disabilities, or other under-represented groups; but consideration will be given to anybody who would otherwise be unable to attend without financial assistance.
If you wish to apply for one of these scholarships, please send an email to email@example.com, telling us a bit about yourself and why you are interested in attending the PHP Yorkshire conference before midnight (UTC) on 18th February.
Each scholarship recipient will be appointed a mentor that can help familiarise them with the conference; answer questions about web development, PHP and the development community; to discuss the content of the talks attended; to make introductions and otherwise make the day as enjoyable and educational as possible.
If you are attending the conference and would like to volunteer as a mentor, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
